We are living in some of the most sexual active times ever known to human history. Sex is everywhere, talked about everywhere, sexuality is all over the place. But, because of the ignorance about sex, and the consequences of sexual experiences outside of marriage—a great deal of people have brought confusion, distortion, pain, and abuse to their sexuality. Not to mention the great many victims of sexual abuse. There is an urgent need for sexual healing.

HEALING NEEDS CONFESSION

It is written, “Confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another that you might be healed” (James 5:16). You must be vulnerable and tell us everything about your sexual history, despite how shameful and long it may be. Going back to the first sexual experiences is important, since that will be your current foundation of sexuality. Yes, this includes all pornagraphic content, or nudity content, and your reaction to that exposure. Much of sexual problem comes from the mind being stuck in lies about sexual nature. We will need to observe everything about your current sexuality.

Keeping things bundled up inside creates pain. Especially sins. There needs to be honest confession in order for there to be honest healing. Other than someone being a victim and survivor of sexual abuse, most sexual problems are let in by sin. This is why you must confess your sins so we can address the area which the ground was given over.

MANY ISSUES COME FROM SEXUAL SINS

When you experience an orgasm by any stimulation, your soul has experienced “sex.” Now, it may not be the “traditional in bed” sexual intercourse. Nevertheless, sex has been experienced.

If this experience of sex was done outside of marriage, then it is sin. Yes, even if you masturbated to porn you have committed sexual sin, just in a different form. What happens is when we experience sex is that your soul is exposed to that experience. The body still functions it’s bodily sexual nature, but the soul has “archived” what you willed to have “sex” with.

The body’s heterosexual design, drive, and purpose can be override by the soul when the mind confuses the body’s sexual drive. Since the soul (in the natural condition) ultimately makes the decision over everything; sexual choices all come from the soul. Sexuality IS a choice, no matter what sexuality you express.

Because of your sinful sexual choices you may be a homosexual (suppressed in the closet or not), bisexual, unhealthy emotionally, have personality disorders, bipolar, have a superior or inferior complex, anxious, depressed, sexually hyper, low sex-drive, pedophilia, sexually abusive, erection disfunction, dehumanization, heartless, suicidal, marital sex problems, obsessiveness, and so on…

COUNSELING IS NEEDED FOR FULL HEALING

You cannot try to escape the sexual bondage you are in on your own, you must humble yourself and receive grace.

Too many people ignore their sexuality, or have sexual secrets. And many people pick up the wrong ideas about sexuality from the world, secular, and other resources apart from the Scriptures. You will need counsel to properly have your sexual condition back to normal function of the nature God designed.

Counsel is needed because sexuality is complex. There is not simple understanding of sexuality, and great mystery behind it. Feelings are not reliable. Dreams can be helpful, but sometimes they are set up by evil spirits. There’s so much consideration to be applied upon your sexual problems that it takes time.

ULTIMATE FREEDOM FROM SEXUAL SIN

While healing and freedom may be brought to you sexually; your soul and body recovering freedom; the ultimate freedom and healing is needed for the human spirit.

The salvation of being born again in Christ by the Holy Spirit, is really the ultimate goal and deliverance. This is what will truly set you free from the pain and damage done by sexual sins. A regenerated spirit, and past sins being washed in the Blood of the Lamb is provides the miraculous deliverance of a new spirit by God’s work alone.
